Glock 21 C - So without too much fanfare, I started researching my first firearm with the Springfield XD Service Model. But when I popped into the Gunstore I realized there were lots of choices. A Gen 3 G21 OD landed in my hands and I fell in love, but still didn't buy. Despite being my first gun (only the first signature of the three, the other two being gen 3 G17 and G22), this older gen3 non-sf comes home in black. Dry firing quickly confirmed that the tungsten guide rod moved it to my preference, and at the time Sig's offerings weren't quite there or cheap enough. 2.5k rds then still my favorite handgun, probably my favorite firearm. For me, it's the simple fact of doing it, designing it well, not a luxury or some other scaled down model, that's why I chose and continue to choose the Glock. The tungsten rod compensates for the lighter magazine load and keeps my workouts consistent.
For me, nothing is better. My opinion is that the Glock 21 is the best 0.45. While it's a little too big (same frame as the Glock 20 in 10mm), that's not necessarily a bad thing. The extra meat means you can put full ammo all day long. Length isn't necessarily an issue for hidden luggage, and with the right holster system, you can carry it around all day without much discomfort. Trust me. I have and it's not a big deal. The smaller you get the 0.45, the more the gun jumps and the less accuracy and stability you will have. Bigger and, for me at least, it's become a hidden congenital issue. I plan to buy another one with my next paycheck. And, after 27 years of concealed carry, the .45 is still the best cap and the Glock is still the best pistol system I can think of. It is a valuable investment for defensive transport. I hope this helps.
Glock 21 C
I just bought my second Glock 21. This weapon is much easier to carry than expected. It weighed less than the 1911 and had more ammunition. With the right sheath, it can be easily hidden. This is a serious reason for reflection. The smaller the gun, the more jumps. This causes control problems which can be solved with larger guns which can dampen recoil and contribute to accuracy. After wearing my 21 every day for a few weeks, I realized it wasn't a problem that was going to happen to a lot of people. At 28.26 ounces it's about 11 ounces lighter than a full-size 1911, and about 8 ounces lighter than a Commander. Also bring more ammo. I bought him a belt holster and with a good belt, I got to the point where I felt no tug or pull, and I didn't have to keep my pants on all day. While it's a big gun, it's perfectly balanced and fills my hand very well with the modular grip extension. Also, to reiterate, it's a bit oversized (same frame for a 20 in 10mm), but not too shabby if you notice it can chew up and out +p ammo without issue.
So. If you consider the 21 as a concealed carry pistol it's not so bad. Just get yourself a good sarong and belt. I hope this helps.
I've had a Glock 21 for 3 years, did 1300 laps without issue. I have the tungsten guide rod assembly, the engine slide stop lever and the clip to slide it on the belt on the lower back of my back. I have a Colt 1911 and while it is a good shooter the Glock is my favorite. It was much more easily damaged than the 1911. Be careful when putting it in the room. I put my finger on the trigger once while wearing my belt and if I had it in my bedroom I probably would have exploded. I practice taking them out and have confidence in my ability to get them quickly.
Worth every penny never regretted buying it but hey it's a glock so what more can i say i love people spending 400 over hitting a glock when glock beats most dollars every time 45 its perfect and goes like this at all times

Great gun with little recoil. Chew everything on the first seat. In cleaning some Gen 4s after a safety check, you'll need to aim down, squeeze the trigger, pull the side tab, and pull the slide out. The forward and slide firing pins should be reactivated. Countless Glock owners with the same problem. It has to deal with internal security mechanisms. I wish it was in the manual or someone told me. That's not a big deal. Great weapon with accuracy and reliability.
I want to show you how great this weapon is. The entire slide is a silent place. Some guns require a key, some have a switch, and some have a lever. It has a relatively thick slide compared to other models, but it's a 0.45. The weight definitely absorbs the spin. Feels a touch heavier than the 19. Typical trigger pressure for a glock, but smooth with a nice click and reset. It's fun to shoot. Big bullet, big sound, but easy to hold the target and get my target back. Again, good gun. You won't be disappointed.

I own and carry my G21 gen 4 on a daily basis, never had a problem with mine, always an accurate shooter. If you have doubts about it, buy it, you won't regret it. I like the fact that it's 13+1 and I carry an extra magazine just in case, because it's better to have and not need than to need and not have. Of all the .45 Automatic semi-automatic pistol options, the Glock certainly holds a respectable position. The Glock is known for its simple and reliable design, an important factor for many shooters. Glock is able to mediate between those who want larger caliber ammunition in a handgun and those who are tired of carrying only 6 or 7 rounds in a magazine. This brings us to the firearm we're looking at for this review, the Glock 21.
Glock introduced the G21 SF (Short Frame) in 2007 to compete for a DOD contract. The contract didn't end with the landing, but the firearm gained traction among law enforcement and civilians alike because of its unique features. Based on the Glock 21 Generation 3, the company only made minor modifications to this variant. We shot and operated the Glock 21 SF for this Glock 21 review.
Of the modifications seen on the Glock 21 SF, the most notable (as the name implies) is the smaller frame circumference. Not to be confused with the width of the frame, the short frame provides less frame depth than the Gen 3 version of the Glock 21. This shorter frame depth allows those with smaller hands the opportunity to properly grip and access functions. In the newer generation (Gen 4), the grip length of the Glock 21 is roughly the same as the G21 SF.
As mentioned above, the Glock 21 SF is equipped with one of the "big boy" calibers: .45 ACP. Most shooters know the 45 ACP as a classic caliber, and many self-defense shooters still rely on the current cartridge.

Glock combines tradition with capability in the Glock 21 SF. The Glock 21 SF boasts a capacity of 13+1, a figure that seems reasonable considering its frame size.
Another unique aspect of the Glock 21 SF is the inclusion of an ambidextrous magazine release. While this feature is convenient, I found it lacking in functionality. I will cover this in more detail in the review. Some Glock 21 SF frames are built with Picatinny-style rails for accessory mounting; not much yet and sheath compatibility is a concern.
Many of the Glock 21 SF variants available today have come from police departments that have rotated them out of use. These changes can be found for as little as $350-$400 in a few places, it must be a lot.
